Chris Watt entered the Real Estate profession in 1976 in the Knox area and was licensed as an Estate Agent in 1984.

He obtained a Certificate of Real Estate Management in 1983 and after two years of additional study in sales, marketing, human behavior and conveyancing practice was awarded a Certificate of Business Studies in Real Estate from Prahran TAFE.

The business known today as Century 21 Home Port was established by Chris in 1986 at its present location on Frankston-Flinders Road after he moved into the area to manage another large Real Estate Agency two years earlier.

Chris has personally sold over 1500 properties of all types in the Hastings, Bittern, Crib Point, and Tyabb townships by both private treaty and Public Auction.

Chris has been an active member of the REIV for over 33 years, also serving as a member of the legislation, town planning and forms committee.

Elected as a councilor for the Hastings ward of the Shire of Hastings in the early 1990's he served as the Council representative on the Regional Planning body, was chairman of the Regional Library Service and represented the council on the first Port of Hastings Land Use Structure Plan study.

More recently Chris represented the Western Port Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the new Port Land Use and Transport Structure Plan (PLUTS) carried out by Maunsel Consulting in 2007. The knowledge and contacts made at this time has given Chris a thorough understanding of the Town Planning and subdivision process.

These days Chris specialises in Commercial and Industrial property sales and leasing, and leaves most of the residential business to the sales team.
